Not one but TWO Kona/Waikoloa area restaurants — favorites among locals and visitors alike — are reopening today, Tuesday, December 15. The reopening of Lava Lava Beach Club in Fosters Kitchen in Waikoloa help to signal a bit of normal (well, new normal, of course) returning to our Island. The added dining options come just in time for residents to use up their Hawaii Restaurant Cards before the remaining balance returns to the state at midnight.
Lava Lava Beach Club will reopen for oceanside, toes in the sand of Anaeho’omalu Bay dining at 1:30 pm. Then, eager diners can enjoy a late lunch in a restaurant with distanced tables and plenty of safety protocols. Happy hour ($2 off beverages) runs from 1:30 to 5 pm, with dinner service and live music starting at 5 pm. 69-1081 Ku’uali’i Pl, Waikoloa Village, HI 96738.
Fosters Kitchen Waikoloa brings back their modern menu for all-day dining from 11 am to 9 pm. Happy hour is from 3 to 5 pm daily, with reduced prices on drinks and appetizers. Take out and delivery are available. 69-250 Waikoloa Beach Rd. Waikoloa, HI 96738.
We hope everyone gets to safely enjoy dining at these Waikoloa restaurants (don’t forget your mask and sanitizer!). Fuel up and get a little shopping done at the mix of local boutiques and national chains at Queens’ and Kings’ Marketplace or have a cocktail and take a nice stroll along Anaeho’omalu Bay and enjoy what the west side of the Big Island has to offer.
